(May) Two months later, the Boston Housing Authority announces there had been only three bidders: Kempner Realty Corp., which bids $1.75/s.f. for the entire site (but subsequently drops out); Charles River Park Associates, which bids $1.17/s.f. for the residential property and $1.37 [1.47-BMRB] for the commercial property; and Max Kargman, bids $.01/s.f. An appraisal subsequently sets a price of $1.37/s.f.foot for the residential land and $1.50 for the commercial, and when the Rappaport group agrees to the is awarded the contract and a planned public auction is canceled.
